AI Research Engineer

Description

This role is for an AI Research Engineer at Prolific AI Research (PAIR) to conduct innovative research in AI evaluation methodologies, alignment techniques, and synthetic data generation. You will bridge the gap between AI research and practical applications, contributing to publications and impacting how AI systems are understood and improved. Key Requirements: * 5+ years of engineering experience with a significant AI/ML focus. * Demonstrated research experience through publications, open-source contributions, or impactful projects. * Strong engineering fundamentals and experience implementing AI systems in production. * Deep knowledge of LLM evaluation, alignment techniques, and model optimization. * Experience with model fine-tuning, adapters, quantization, and distillation frameworks. * Self-motivation and excellent communication skills.
